It can be disappointing with the lack of a difficulty setting, though, and not all sections are paced the same-a sacrifice lost to the story it slowly unravels. From its familiar narrative to its interesting co-op gameplay, it has much to offer for both beginners and veterans of the game genres it tackles. A heartwarming adventureĪll in all, It Takes Two is a highly-engaging game that you and your partner can take a stab at and enjoy wholeheartedly. Some sections also feel longer than others. However, in terms of a challenge, this game doesn’t actually have a difficulty setting. Plus, instead of hidden collectibles, you get to explore the interactive world for minigames. The vibrant environments are nothing to scoff at here-especially when you’ve been shrunken as dolls. It would take some pretty interesting optimization to render the game more than one times on. The different abilities you get will definitely require you to figure out how to combine them to clear each fantastical section you enter. This beautiful farm is shaped like a two touching circles. Plus, each new area will swap out their previous ability. What’s interesting about the co-op play here is that Cody and May will each get new abilities that are meant only for them. Both the plot and the game mechanics hinge on player teamwork, which is why you can only play the game with two people. The premise of this game is highly similar to its developer’s previous games, A Way Out and Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons.
